A couple of young men help to take down the bellows from the old forge in our Homestead Blacksmith Shop this past weekend. After removing them, the bellows will be installed above a new forge inside the shop.
Master Blacksmith, Caleb Nolen, tells us:
“These bellows were custom made for our old forge and we had new leather installed on them 2 years ago. Bellows feed the fire by introducing oxygen, which then helps to regulate the temperature of the fire.”
One of Caleb’s students, Levi, is making dinner bell ringers for the Fair.
