Did you know that all the Chalk Board Signs at the Fair were hand-written? First the designs and words are chalked in using special chalk pens, then we come back after the first layer is dry and add embellishments in another color for contrast. We had a group of 24 eager kids ages 4-11 make special gift baskets for the Fair this year. Our young woodworkers are finishing some beautiful hand-crafted chairs, tables and boxes for the Fair! Using mainly hand-tools, these boys are crafting their chairs in the old tried and true method of fine furniture building that is hard to find in today’s mass market. [envira-gallery id=”7364″]
