Happy 2015 from Homestead Fair!
The next Fair is only 10 months away. But you don’t have to wait that long to visit us: Cafe Homestead and the Craft Village, (The Barn, Potter’s House, Woodworking, Fiber Crafts, Blacksmithing, Gristmill), are all open year round Monday-Saturday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Our new Homestead Market opened during the Christmas Holidays and are busily serving customers. You can enjoy fresh baked goods from Artisan Ovens Bakery, fresh, grass-fed beef and other naturally raised meats from Homestead Land and Cattle’s department inside the Market. Next to the Homestead Market stop by both Brazos Valley Cheese and Homestead General Store.
For those of you who enjoyed the Red Wagon BBQ during the Fair, or if you missed them and want to try it now, they’ll be serving BBQ every Saturday from 11:00-4:00 outside the Homestead Market.
Many of our workshops will be starting up soon, and lots of folks young and old will be starting on their new 2015 Fair projects! This is an exciting time of year as everyone starts fresh and plans what crafts and other new things they want to learn and create. If you enjoyed our crafts during the Fair and want to learn more about how to do them yourself, we offer classes through our school, The Ploughshare Institute for Sustainable Culture. You can see a list of classes and sign up on their website: http://www.sustainlife.org
Hope everyone has a very happy 2015 and we will see you soon!
